mod68ads: A Joomla!-Module for showing ads from 68C Classifieds

mod68ads is a Joomla!-Module to display ads from the software 68C Classifieds on any module position. It has many setting parameters which allow you to define which ads should be displayed inside your Joomla! driven website. Gallery View

The Gallery View Module appears in all showlisting pages. This will give you two tabs, one for the List view (default) and another for the Gallery view. When a visitor selects the Gallery view, the page will then show your listings in a similar fashion to the Featured listings plugin (as used in the default template home page), however with CSS styling. Each listing is contained within an outlined box and will show the title, thumbnail image and price. This will also maintain any "Featured, Highlighted" upgrades for the listing, however all text is bold. The List view is set to use your previously chosen search results view from the administration. If the "Short Description" search results view was chosen, this list view is identical to the original except without the white lines that are in the normal short description display. <b>This module is incompatible with the Custom Cats Module</b>

Postal Codes

The Postal Codes Module allows your end users to search listings within a radius of their inputed postal code. In the search page of your site, this module adds a "Postal Code" field which your end user can input the postal code of their choice as well as choose from a pulldown menu the distance that they would like to find listings for. This module adds an extra Postal Code Field in all of your listings. This is done automatically, you do not need to create this field. Your sellers enter the postal code for their listing during the checkout or whenever they modify the listing. As an Admin, you will also be able to edit this field when you are in the Manage Listings section and choose a listing to edit. There are no additional administration functions for this module, except access to the readme file when you click on the "?" in the modules section. The Postal Codes module has been made for international use, therefore is based on Kilometers. Each Postal Codes data version is specific to a country or area (eg: UK). I am currently offering this module with these specific data versions: Australia Canada Germany France UK If you would like a different data version that is not currently being offered, please contact me as I have just about every country in the modern world. I just haven't taken the time to extract each and every individual country. Chances are, I can have a data version set for your requested country within a day.

Filter Module

The Location Filter Module allows your visitors to filter adverts that they wish to see based upon the advertisers location. This is similar to the functionality found on www.craigslist.org and other large classifieds site. For example, your visitor can select a city and display adverts in just that location. Multilingual module

This is something I missed. I want to have full translation to 2 languages for my upgrade to v4. After creating Virtual Tour module, I gave it a try to create multi language module. I just wanted to have my 68c in polish and english. What it has: - totally independent page creation and edition, and more, it uses real files, so after creating languages and pages, you may download all pages files, edit them on your pc and upload back, however, it is still possible to edit the pages using admin (see files). - category translation in as many languages as you want - extra fields translation in as many languages as you want if you have any ideas about such module, let me know I forgot, what it will do: - generate language buttons for available languages - display available pages for a chosen language - display translated categories/breadcrumbs for a chosen language - display translated extra fields for a chosen language all will be nicely edited in the admin area if anyone wants to contact me quickly, please PM me or go to my page: http://lookdigital.pl and send me a mail

Classifieds Twitter Feeder

If your an avid Twitter user or looking for more ways to market your site then this module is for you. It is a classifieds twitter feeder that enables your 68 Classifieds site to automatically make a tweet with each new listing added to your site. This is the first release of this module and it is considered beta. So use it at your own risk and report any issues to me. Some of the features of classifieds twitter feeder are: * Works automatically in the background. Set it and forget it. * Uses the is.gd url shortening api service. * It uses the status of the listing to determine if it should be sent. So unapproved listings will not be posted. * Creates a field to flag which listings have been sent. This is to prevent any duplicates.
